Transit Insurance Support questions

What customers ask before booking this service.

Is transit insurance worth taking?

On long intercity routes, generally yes, because goods spend days on the road and the premium is small against the value at risk. For a short local move it matters much less. We will tell you honestly which situation you are in rather than pushing cover you do not need.

How is the premium worked out?

On the declared value of your goods, the category of items and the route. You declare what your goods are worth, which is why an honest inventory matters: under-declaring reduces the premium but also reduces what you can claim.

What does the cover actually include?

Cover terms depend on the policy taken and typically address damage or loss in transit. Exclusions exist, commonly for goods packed by the owner rather than by the mover. We go through the specific terms with you before you decide, rather than after something goes wrong.

What happens if something is damaged?

Tell us at delivery and note it before signing off, because a claim is far harder to support once the crew has left. Photograph the item and the packing. We help with the documentation the insurer asks for and follow it through with you.
